IFLS Panel Data Analysis Workshop

In an effort to introduce the IFLS data to decision-makers in Indonesia, SurveyMETER cooperates with Duke University has conducted IFLS Panel Data Analysis Workshop. The Activity held on 5 to 16 July 2010 in Saphir Hotel, Yogyakarta.
The target of this activity was a government agency or research institutes that had formed a partnership with SurveyMETER in various activities. Participants who attended, among others, the NAD Health Office, Department of National Education, Bappenas, World Bank, BPS, LD UI, UGM PSKK, and even some overseas participants from Singapore and China.
In this activity participants were taught how to read and analyze the data in IFLS. A tutor who had expertise in the analysis Stata imported directly from the United States named Nick Iversen. From the lessons provided, all participants managed to make the paper to be published in international journals. Some participants use this as a final result of the master study.
Activities went well despite the ongoing since at 8:00 a.m. to 22:00 every day. In the closing ceremony, representatives from Duke University, Elizabeth Frangkenberg and director of SurveyMETER Bondan Sikoki expect all participants to share knowledge that had been obtained to friends at their respective institution. So in the end all policies made by all institutions and agencies are always based on existing data field.
