SurveyMETER participated in the Coordination Meeting on Nganjuk District Database Development, which was initiated by the Nganjuk District Communication and Information Agency. The activity took place Thursday, January 9, 2020 in the Meeting Room of the Assistant Government and People's Welfare Secretariat of the Nganjuk District Government. SurveyMETER was involved in the activity as a partner of the Nganjuk District Government through the Office of Communication and Information Technology and other relevant DPOs in the planned activities.

The activity was opened by the Head of the Nganjuk District Communication and Information Office Slamet Basuki, A.P. In addition to SurveyMETER the meeting was also attended by representatives from the Assistant Government and Welfare, Bappeda, PMD Office, Health Office, and Population and Civil Registry Office.

The Nganjuk District database development team itself is coordinated by the Office of the Ministry of Communication and Information as the data trustee, Bappeda as the supporter, and all DPOs as collectors, managers as well as data users and analysts.

According to Slamet Basuki, a meeting was held in order to carry out the District Head's directives to build sectorial databases for each OPD in Nganjuk Regency which should have been realized in December 2018. The issue of sectorial databases, according to Slamet, was a problem for all regions because BPS only provided basic data. "We are grateful and very grateful SurveyMETER is willing to be a partner in this program," said Slambas, his nickname.

Slambas conveyed the many advantages of the database system that was being designed in conjunction with SurveyMETER, which was conducted by the Census, had trained human resources at the village level, expanded the data not only to the health sector involving 14 related DPOs and expanded coverage in 100% (284) villages / wards. "This is hard work because of the scope and method of the census so that synergy between the local government and SurveyMETER is needed in relation to funding from OPD and village funds," said Slambas.

In this activity SurveyMETER through the activity implementation coordinator, Roni Hermoko M.I.P, explained the background, objectives, stakeholders involved, the data modules used, and the activity system scheme. Roni explained since the beginning of the pilot activities in the District of Patianrowo with the name of the Study on the Development of Integrated Systems for Handling Data-Based Stunting at the Health Center Level (STPSP) to become a dashboard application program with the name of Integrated Systems for Handling Household and Individual Data-Based Stunting shorten to “SiTEPAT RAMAH”.  Post exposure to the results of the first phase of the study before the Secretary of Nganjuk Regency and related OPD on Wednesday (02/13/2019). Until then the planned expansion of data and regional coverage will be carried out in 2020 to 2021. "In this activity we learn together how to produce valid and reliable data," said Roni.

Next, Roni briefly explained the draft of the development module, which was translated from the relevant OPD input at the previous meeting which was included in The Eyes of God file (data on village / sub-district potential in Nganjuk District). In between the discussion and input presentation proceeded by itself. "If this system runs we will get valid data because of the household census," said Roni. (JF)
