Muhamad Mulia menyelesaikan pendidikan terakhir S2 Magister Studi Kebijakan, di Universitas Gadjah Mada tahun 2009. Bergabung dengan SurveyMETER sejak tahun 2002, dan sekarang sebagai Manajer Kantor. Pengalaman riset di beberapa proyek penelitian ilmiah, studi evaluasi dampak, dan studi berorientasi kebijakan, antara lain: Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS), Micro Foundation of Health and Development –Worker Iron Supplementation Evaluation Project (WISE), Study of the Tsunami Aftermath and Recovery (STAR), Studi Dampak Sosial Ekonomi Paska Bom Bali (EST-Bali), Post Implementation Household Survey and Impact Assessment of Second Water Sanitation for Low Income Communities Project (WSLIC-2 Project), Data Collection for the Baseline Survey of the Community-Based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting Project (MCA), Data Collection for the Baseline Survey of the Community-Based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting Project (MCA), Urban Perception Survey.
