SurveyMETER in collaboration with Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and The University of Sidney, conducted the 2015 Cultivator Sustainability Survey (SKPP-KOPI) in Muara Enim Regency of South Sumatra and Lampung Provinces from August to September 2015.

The main objectives of this study are threefold, first, to identify and analyze aspects related to the lives of coffee farmers. Second, to find out and analyze information related to the experience of coffee farmers in managing coffee farming and other farming businesses. Third, to find out and analyze the impact of the coffee certification program on the lives of coffee farmers.

The main respondents interviewed are both coffee farmers who are assisted by IndoCafco, and who are not. In this study, Indocafco-assisted farmers are referred to as RCT group coffee farmers, while those not assisted by Indocafco are referred to as PSM (Propensity score matching) group coffee farmers.
